Between the thunderstorms
of my heart, brain and veins
A miracle took place
A rarity, perhaps the first of its trace
They didn’t say “Calm Down”
Instead they offered solace
Inquiring kindly, "What do you need?"
Listening with patience, my soul they'd feed.
Beside me, they stood through it all
They didn’t say “Calm Down”
But they actually calmed me down
