Femmephobia is something we’ve all come across
It’s femininity being associated with competency loss
How many times have you heard statements like
“Don’t throw like a girl” or “Don’t run like a girl”
“girls can’t drive or ride a bike”
Why do I need to speak like a man to be taken seriously?
I am a woman right, So obviously I will talk like one and it still would be of the same relevance
Why do I need to drive like a man to be a good driver?
I am a woman, So I’ll drive like one and still be good at it
Why do I need to play like a man to be good at sports?
I am a woman, So I’ll play like one and still beat every one of my competitors
Why does one gender have to be superior to the others?
Why should one gender be associated with being strong and the others with being weak?
Why should one gender be measured by professional success and the other by how successful their relationships are?
Why can’t we perceive people and their goals as individuals and not associate them with genders?
