Breaking out of the cage

To finally find yourself

To find your place in the world

To let your toes uncurl

With stumbling feet and shaking hands

Before every first time experience

A glint of excitement in the eyes

While waiting for the tide to finally rise

Learning to handle the responsibilities

Surviving the world and its unkind stabs

Facing failures and rising again

Learning not to lose your zen
