Whispers Of Luna & Petal

Moon, you illuminate the night sky

Glowing with a shimmer so bright

Such beauty it signifies

It’s a marvel for the sight

Flower, your colours so vibrant

Seen easily from afar

Rendering every passersby silent

No matter how busy they are

But oh moon, celestial above

While i’m merely an earthly being

You perceive the world’s endless love

While I can only imagine and dream

But flower, the journey up here is alone

While you see the world up close

I have to bear the weight of an unwanted throne

Only from afar does it seem grandiose

Moon, you are everlasting

Present since the dawn of time

While I am just passing

My beauty, only a transient rhyme

Flower, your bloom, because brief

Is exciting and thrilling

Yet I was deceived by the belief

That to shine everyday is a blessing

Moon, our conversation finds only one reply

Our fates are sealed

And the hand we’ve been dealt, we can’t deny

So we must seek, the best results to yield

Flower, I concur with your predicament

Rather than complaining for what we were given

We could make the best out of what is sufficient

What really matters is how true is our vision

A poem about acceptance.
